The Agency Regulatory Analyst serves as the point of contact for regulatory work tied to compliance reporting. This role also supports all financial tracking of commissions and required documentation. Updating and tracking all compliance policies and company adherence to those policies is critical in this role. Additionally, an important aspect of this role is its responsibility for maintaining all required compliance documentation and keeping the data room is up to date. This role will collaborate closely with regulatory partners and support acquisition and integration efforts related to regulatory reporting and other integration requirements.
Essential Duties and Job Requirements:
- Collect all data for and prepare all 5500’s for all entities tied to Engage including any historical review of previously filed 5500’s to ensure accuracy and timely filing.
- Work with accounting to ensure all commission deposit and expenses paid are appropriately managed and help with any Trust account analysis and expense tracking work.
- Prepare all M-1 filings for all entities including any historical review of previously filed M-1’s to ensure all were done accurately and refiling for any and all corrections.
- Track all policy and plan information for all carriers including all policy numbers, structure and account information and any changes.
- Work with Agency Support Specialist to ensure the agency workbooks of all carriers, plans, policies, vendors, brokers and commissions are up to date and accurate at all times.
- Ensure all documents supporting all plans, policies, vendors and contracts are accounted for and are accurate. All policies must follow the company naming conventions and must all be documented and stored appropriately to meet compliance requirements.
- Ensure Agency compliance policies (COBRA, ACA, Non-Discrimination Testing etc.) are documented updated as needed and communicated, working with agency management on any communications.
- Review and update all plan governance documents to include SPD’s, wrap documents, section 125 materials, SMM’s, resolutions, disclosures and legal notices and ensure all are posted, distributed and documented.
- Ensure all compliance notifications are updated and communicated each year, and all compliance requirements are documented for proof of compliance.
- Ensure that the data room is set up and maintained in an organized and accurate and consistent manner each year for the minimum seven-year compliance requirement period.
- Collect all MLR Rebate documentation for each year and ensure it is documented and tracked.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with Compliance when needed auditing system data and reporting discrepancies
- Assisting with agency projects on an as needed basis
- Support agency management and other leadership as needed regarding document support and areas related to the essential job duties
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, insurance, compliance, or related field
• Professional Employer Organization (PEO) experience is a plus
• Proficient with MS Office, and Microsoft EXCEL skills required
• Working knowledge of the Health Insurance industry across all coverage lines; Health, Life, Disability, Dental, Vision plans and familiarity with ACA and compliance, preferred
• PEO Systems application experience is a plus
• Contract management and/or compliance experience preferred
COMPENSATION:
The salary range for this position is listed below. However, you should know that the salary range may vary based on regional location, the candidate’s skill, and relevant experience. In addition, some positions may include a form of bonus or other incentive compensation, which would not be included in this salary range.
Annual Salary Range: $65,000-$72,000
