We are recruiting for a Full Time Transactional Real Estate Paralegal
This is a Hybrid position located in either Washington DC or Richmond, VA - 3days in office - 2 days WFH
The Paralegal will work with the Multifamily Housing Finance group and will be responsible for the review and analysis of title and survey on multifamily housing properties demonstrating a thorough knowledge of title and survey. There is a billable hours component to this position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct title and survey review and analysis, specifically for commercial real estate loans, including but not limited to Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac.

Maintain thorough and current knowledge of commercial real estate lending guidelines.

Perform paralegal duties and responsibilities as directed by the group leader and other attorneys.

Monitor and meet loan closing deadlines.

Perform all assignments in strict compliance with ethical guidelines governing the practice of law.

Demonstrate good teamwork skills within and among practice groups, offices and firm to facilitate efficient delivery of legal services.

Maintain the firm’s official file utilizing the document management system.

Track and record client-billable time as required meeting minimum billable hour requirements.

Maintain and prioritize work on a daily basis and communicate if unable to meet daily responsibilities.

Track and record both billable and nonbillable work on a daily basis.

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree; any combination of training, education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position may be considered.

Minimum of two (2) years of experience with commercial real estate transactions, specifically title and survey.

Law firm or title company and Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac experience preferred; or any
-
Commercial title and survey experience, specifically American Land Title Association, ALTA/NSPS
