Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting - Hybrid
One of our growing clients is looking to add a strong Accountant to the team. The ideal candidate has experience within Audit and has their CPA. Working on their CPA (Passed at least 1 portion) works as well. Lots of opportunities for growth and high visibility role.
Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation of financial reporting deliverables with an eye for process improvement and automation opportunities :
Research complex accounting issues and document technical accounting position papers
Align with practice accounting to ensure accurate acquisition accounting
Provide support for external audits, working closely with independent accounting firm
Prepare ad-hoc internal and external financial reporting and analyses
Coordinate timely preparation and review of month-end balance sheet reconciliations
Identify areas of process improvement, recommend changes, and execute improvements
Other duties as assigned to help drive our mission of improving the lives of everyone living with cancer

Strong technical accounting knowledge and ability to research technical accounting matters
Ability to manipulate data to drive and expedite project analyses and completion
Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to offer alternative solutions to each problem
Proven collaboration skills, work with a sense of urgency, and prioritize action items
Qualifications
Accounting degree (with graduate degree preferred, but not required)
Two to four years of experience in finance and / or accounting is required, with particular preference for public accounting experience
Proven knowledge of GAAP
Strong knowledge of internal controls, best practices, and the ability to research and document accounting and financial topics required
Strong Excel skills are required
Working knowledge ERP platforms is a plus
Active CPA license or working toward CPA license required
A team-player attitude that demonstrates a willingness to help various departments throughout the Company on ad-hoc projects.
