Engage is now hiring a passionate and patient-focused Occupational Therapist at our partner Assisted Living Facility in Salem. NH! In this role, you will determine appropriate occupational therapy care and treatment for a geriatric population at a wide range of functional levels.
Your Typical Day- Provide direct patient care, evaluate functional needs and outcomes, and consult with other specialists. Review patients' functional needs and adjust care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Design and implement plans of care for patients based on a thorough assessment of potential development; Plans will include but are not limited to manual therapy, aquatic therapy, neuromuscular training, modalities and functional rehabilitation.
- Create fitness and wellness-oriented programs tailored to patients' specific needs; Promote patient's healthy lifestyle by improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
- Communicate effectively with other professionals and support staff to achieve positive patient outcomes·
- Document patient care services via EMR
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards as required.
- Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, in-service meetings, and workshops.
- Provide direction and leadership to staff as required and act as a resource to promote occupational therapy in the community
