What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Manager position at Engageware?
An Account Manager will have strong relationship development skills, a highly successful software/technology sales track record, and be passionate about customer retention, satisfaction and business growth.
This role is responsible for managing and growing existing customer relationships, through the retention of Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) and upselling additional products and services to expand Engageware’s presence in the account. Strong senior level relationship development skills are required to facilitate the identification of new opportunities in other parts of the customer’s business. Sales skills will be challenged to nurture those new opportunities from discovery through close and ongoing management.
The Account Manager (AM) is expected to fully understand the customer’s business, their plans and strategies for the future and to develop an account plan to leverage Engageware products and services to support their goals. The AM is responsible for meeting and exceeding their ARR retention goal, as well as upsell and cross sell product and services sales quota.
The AM is supported by a Sales Engineering, Customer Success teams, as well as a high-performance marketing organization.
Requirements:
- 5 years of Account Management and sales experience in high-growth, fast paced SaaS company
- Banking and Retail sales experience a plus
- A proven track record for customer retention and exceeding upsell and cross sell quota
- Strong professional and consultative sales approach based on a proactive account planning for in-depth customer knowledge and business objectives that are aligned with company’s offering
- Solid mid-market and enterprise sales strategy experience, selling to senior level business and IT professionals
- Solid presentation, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a team selling environment
- Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
- Excellent time and project management skills. You're always looking to improve inefficient processes
- Monitor and analyze customer usage of our product
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a plus
