Automation Supervisor
Location: Mukwonago, WI
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (Weekend support may be required)
Salary: $91K - $123K Retention Incentive Production Incentives (TBD)
Job Summary:
Engauge is seeking an Automation Supervisor to lead a team of Automation Technicians and oversee the performance, maintenance, and optimization of automated manufacturing and packaging equipment. This role ensures operational efficiency, supports new product and equipment launches, and drives continuous improvement in automation processes.
The Automation Supervisor will manage technical projects, troubleshoot equipment issues, and oversee preventive maintenance for automation systems, conveyor systems, and autonomous guided vehicles. Additionally, this role will contribute to engineering and controls projects while ensuring all equipment meets production and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, train, and develop a team of Automation Technicians.
Oversee setup and maintenance of automation equipment, including closing, assembly, and lining machines, vision systems, and conveyors.
Manage preventive maintenance schedules and equipment repairs to ensure production efficiency.
Troubleshoot complex automation and controls issues.
Drive improvements in employee safety, product quality, process efficiency, and cost reduction.
Support new equipment installations and automation upgrades.
Collaborate with production teams to ensure operational goals are met.
Manage automation controls, obsolescence planning, and energy efficiency initiatives.
Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and system improvements.
Qualifications:
5 years of experience in automation or related field.
Leadership experience, with the ability to train and manage teams.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in automation systems.
High school diploma or equivalent (technical certifications preferred).
Ability to read technical schematics and operate automation software.
Basic computer skills and proficiency in troubleshooting PLCs, robotics, and vision systems.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Flexibility to adjust work hours as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hands-on mechanical and electrical experience.
Project management or supervisory experience.
Experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
