Maintenance Technician – 1st & 3rd Shift
Role Overview:
Engauge is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and minimizing downtime in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as inspections, replacements, and adjustments on injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot operating issues, including hydraulic, electrical control systems, and heating systems.
- Disassemble, inspect, and overhaul machine components to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with senior mechanics to resolve complex machine problems and recommend necessary repairs or replacements.
- Install and align molding machines, drives, bearings, and precision mechanisms using measuring instruments.
- Maintain accurate repair and maintenance records while adhering to all safety protocols.
Requirements:
- Experience in the installation and maintenance of injection molding machines and process equipment.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, heating, and electrical systems used in molding operations.
- Able to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Trade school training or equivalent experience (2-3 years preferred).
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.
