Utility Worker (Maintenance in Manufacturing)

Job Description:
We are looking for a reliable and dedicated Utility Worker to join our maintenance team in a manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role that involves performing a variety of tasks related to the upkeep and repair of machinery, equipment, and the general facility. As a key member of our team, you'll help ensure operations run smoothly and safely while maintaining a clean and efficient workspace.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment to minimize downtime.
• Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical or electrical issues.
• Support the maintenance team with preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment longevity.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following company safety protocols.
• Assist with cleaning and organizing the shop, including disposing of waste material as necessary.
• Report any major issues or needed repairs to the supervisor or maintenance manager.
• Other duties as assigned to support manufacturing operations.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in maintenance or as a utility worker in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Must wear steel-toed boots at all times on the job site.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to maintenance.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work overtime as needed.
