Principal Cost / Data Analyst
Location: Huntsville, AL

Job Summary: We are looking for an accomplished Principal Cost / Data Analyst with a proven track record of excellence in cost analysis, cost estimating, and data analytics. The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of relevant experience and extensive expertise in lifecycle cost estimates, specialized cost estimates, and advanced data analysis techniques. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in operations research, mathematics, statistics, engineering, economics, data science, computer science or related discipline, from an accredited college or university is required. A degree in another subject requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics, statistics, or programming may satisfy the requirement. This role involves cost/benefit comparisons, contractor performance analysis, providing programmatic support, and spearheading knowledge management initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lifecycle & Specialized Cost Estimates: Create and manage comprehensive lifecycle as well as specialized cost estimates to support project planning and execution.
· Advanced Data Analysis: Utilize cutting-edge data analytics practices to generate actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
· Cost/Benefit Evaluations: Conduct detailed cost/benefit analyses to assess program and project performance effectively.
· Contractor Performance Analysis: Perform in-depth evaluations of contractor performance to enhance operational efficiency and accountability.
· Programmatic Support: Deliver robust programmatic support, ensuring that projects and initiatives align with the organization's strategic goals.
· Knowledge Management: Drive and implement strategies for knowledge sharing and organizational learning to optimize data use across the enterprise.
Qualifications:
· Minimum 15 years of experience in cost analysis, cost estimating, or data analytics.
· Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., Masters in Cost Estimating and Analysis, Masters in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or other related fields) may substitute for a combined total of 1 year of experience.
· International Cost Estimating and Analysis Association Certification can be substituted for a combined total of 1 year of experience.
· Active SECRET security clearance required
Certifications: Relevant professional certifications are highly valued and will bolster a candidate’s eligibility.
