We are seeking a highly motivated Cyber Security Engineer in Reston, VA to join our National Intelligence Program supporting the operations, maintenance of a complex, hybrid on-premises and cloud enterprise IT environment. As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will be working with an agile, fast paced team focused on defending our client’s network.
Key Responsibilities :
- Monitor network performance, systems for potential threats, troubleshoot issues, and escalate appropriately to respond to incidents
- Identify, escalate, and address incidents, conduct thorough root cause analyses and work with senior engineers to implement corrective actions to prevent future breaches
- Participate in accreditation processes for systems to ensure compliance with the Sponsor’s security standards and certifications
- Implement security measures designed by senior engineers
- Learn security policies and protocols to ensuring compliance with IC standards and collaborate with other engineers to conduct regular vulnerability assessments to identify and address weaknesses
- Support Assessment and Authorization (A&A) and information assurance processes and documentation
- Participate in efforts to ensure network reliability and availability through redundancy, failover, and other high-availability techniques
- Demonstrate willingness to learn new concepts and steadily take on additional responsibilities
- Stay abreast of the latest network technology trends that can enhance the performance and capability of analytics and software services
