Job Overview:
As a Janitor you will play an important role in the organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of our facility. You will be responsible for disposing of waste in a safe and timely manner while ensuring that the appropriate materials are recycled. Your work is a very important part of keeping our facilities safe and efficient. You will be relied on to work independently and trusted to take initiative and stay on task.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain, stock, and inventory cleaning supplies on a regular basis
- Follow a location-based schedule for routine cleaning tasks
- Sanitize, clean, and stock bathrooms and locker rooms
- Maintain cleanliness of floors by keeping them free of oils, trash, and debris
- Collect all scrap metals throughout the plant and properly dispose
- Collect all garbage/waste throughout the plant and properly dispose
- Collect cardboard and prepare for recycling
- Keep exterior grounds clean and free of trash and debris
- Perform basic repairs and maintenance as needed
- Work with maintenance to inform team of any safety concerns or hazards throughout the plant
- Follow directions from team leads, supervisors and managers
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment

Essential Functions:
- Excellent time management and the ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Ability to determine what is trash or waste compared to what is recyclable
- Ability to see what needs to be done next and taking the initiative to work on it
- Must be 18 years old, high school diploma preferred, detail oriented, automotive/mechanical ability a plus
- Willingness and understanding you will get dirty at times, and may have to work with chemicals
- Skill and ability of working with your hands, manual tools (must provide your own) and other instruments
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand & work on your feet for 8 hours a day and under pressure at times
- Have a Can-Do Attitude, with good time management, communication and decision-making skills
- Self-starting and motivated; believe in teamwork and uphold the ability to always help others
