What are the responsibilities and job description for the Order Picker position at Engine and Transmission Exchange?
Job Overview:
As a Picker Operator you play a key role in our ability to deliver product to our customers. Your accuracy and organizational skills are essential as you are responsible for placing product by location into inventory. You will also be relied upon to assist with inventory counts and organization projects as needed. You will be expected to place, at minimum 120 transmissions per day.
Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, move, locate, and relocate transmission cores in a safe, accurate, and orderly manner using a picker or other power equipment
- Accurately scan cores out of location using a RF scanner
- Check cores being scanned against orders on iPad to avoid pick errors
- Place picked orders on designated conveyor as determined by order
- Assist in the organization and physical appearance of warehouse
- Assist in physical inventories as required by supervisor
- Follow directions from team leads, supervisors and managers, be proactive and helpful
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment, be at your workstation on time daily

Essential Functions:
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfortable working in heights
- Previous experience using a picker and/or forklift is preferred
- Previous warehouse experience is a plus
- Must be 18 years old, high school diploma preferred, detail oriented, automotive/mechanical ability a plus
- Willingness and understanding you will get dirty at times, and may have to work with chemicals
- Skill and ability of working with your hands, manual tools (must provide your own) and other instruments
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand & work on your feet for 8 hours a day and under pressure at times
- Have a Can-Do Attitude, with good time management, communication and decision-making skills
- Self-starting and motivated; believe in teamwork and uphold the ability to always help others
- Adhere to all safety rules, give it your all every day, must have regular, reliable, and predictable attendance
