The Building Automation Account Manager will serve as an MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) and Engineering Consultant, with a primary focus on being on-site to support client needs. This role involves working directly with clients and project teams, providing engineering consultation, and ensuring the successful delivery of services. The Building Automation Account Manager will spend the majority of their time at the client site, with additional time spent at the ESSI Fort Myers office for remote support as necessary.Additionally, the Building Automation Account Manager may be included in the property-wide emergency response plan and will play a key role in supporting disaster recovery efforts when required.Requirements Provide project estimates, scope development, and design for turnkey projects.Approve hardware / software design submittals, installation drawings, sequence of operations, and commissioning documentation.Manage subcontractors for third-party system integrations.Coordinate with ESSI engineering to ensure timely project completion and system programming.Schedule technicians and installers to meet project timelines, requirements, and budgets.Use Microsoft GP accounting software to track project status and costs.Work with the purchasing department to ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials.Track project costs to avoid budget overruns.Handle all project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, schedules, safety compliance, change orders, as-builts, and closeout documentation.Complete daily work logs and monthly project invoicing by the 5th of each month, including all associated documentation.Attend weekly project planning and update meetings, including those with property owner representatives.Support engineering staff with EMS and mechanical system adjustments (e.g., lead / lag chillers, load shedding, scheduling).Provide historical data to electrical and mechanical engineers as needed.Ensure 24 / 7 system support through on-site visits, remote access, and coordination with on-call technicians.System and Maintenance Management : Maintain ongoing "To Do" lists for on-site personnel.Monitor systems for functional issues and report mechanical problems.Identify and recommend replacements for obsolete or defective components.Ensure proper inventory for emergency repairs and spot projects.Perform monthly system backups and ensure proper storage of data.Maintain up-to-date documentation on system changes (stored on ESSI local server).Ensure proper operation of on-site servers and UPS backups.Train staff on utilizing the energy management system (alarms, schedules, temperature changes, overrides, etc.).Add and remove system users as requested by the hotel.Daily System Checks : Perform alarm checks and notify appropriate personnel if necessary.Monitor system communications and operation to ensure mechanical systems are functioning properly.Manage system manipulation when mechanical systems fail (e.g., loading / unloading chillers to maintain building temperature).Ensure proper pool temperature control and functionality.Inspect exterior lighting to ensure safety and functionality.
