Engineered Fire Systems is hiring a Residential Construction Sales Representative to lead our expansion into large-scale production homebuilder accounts. We’re seeking a seasoned, well-connected professional to grow our presence with top-tier builders such as Lennar, Toll Brothers, and D.R. Horton—and to unlock untapped business across the residential market.

What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute sales strategies focused on large-scale residential builders.
- Secure partnerships with national and regional developers (e.g., KB Homes, Richmond American).
- Own the full sales cycle: lead generation, estimating, proposal, negotiation, and closing.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients through project execution and beyond.
- Leverage your industry network to position our company as the residential fire protection expert.
- Identify and build business with custom home architects, general contractors, and residential fire sprinkler subcontractors.
- Collaborate with engineering and project management to align customer needs with our capabilities.
What You’ll Bring
- 5 years of sales or business development experience in residential construction.
- Proven sales attainment (Managed business segment of $2M /year preferred).
- An existing network of decision-makers in the homebuilding industry.
- Deep experience and knowledge in at least one residential building trade (fire protection, HVAC, plumbing, or electrical preferred).
- Strong understanding of construction processes, project timelines, and trade coordination.
- High degree of professionalism, persistence, and a consultative sales mindset.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and construction documentation.
Bonus if You Have:
- Prior experience in fire sprinkler, fire alarm, or life safety subcontracting.
- Experience with 2D or 3D CAD design
- Previous success stories of getting subcontractors into large-scale builder’s preferred vendor lists.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: $50,000/yr base with double-digit uncapped commissions. Earnings at quota can exceed $200k.
