Metal finishing is a term used for the finishing of various types of materials used in the making of medical instrumentation or Implants at EMS. The Metal Finisher I will be removing material, polishing, vibratory and bead blasting as part of metal finishing. A Metal Finisher I will process parts according to the customer print and or EMS specifications

Responsibilities
  • Metal Finishers process parts according to the customer print and or EMS specifications.
  • The use of measuring devices such as digital calipers and micrometers is needed to ensure parts meet customer print requirements.
  • Ability to work with tight tolerances without making mistakes on the finishing equipment.
  • Maintain a high degree of quality in your work area or station.
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness and organization for your benefit and that of your fellow employees.
  • Maintain line clearance at all times.
  • Ability to escalate issues or concerns that require review of equipment for repair or adjustment to the Production.
  • Support the EMS Quality Policy and Quality Objectives.
  • Perform Other Duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • A minimum of a High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • A metal finisher candidate must possess good hand to eye coordination and the ability to hold tight tolerances while achieving the required finish.
  • Experience understanding proper documentation/quality requirements for a regulated environment.
  • Have an understanding of relevant Safety requirements.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write in the English language.
  • Good vision either natural or thru correction (Glasses/Contacts lens) is needed for this position.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, grip, reach and lift up to 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
  • Able to stand the majority of the shift to perform duties.
