Production Floater

The Production Floater will be responsible for supporting production in multiple areas of the plant. These areas may include, but are not limited to CNC Machine Operation, Quality Inspection, Finish Line support, and Assembly. The Production Floater will have a primary area of focus (i.e. Finish Line Support) and will be able float to other areas of plant based on immediate business needs.

Responsibilities

• Produce / process parts according to the customer print and or EMS specifications in area assigned.
• The use of measuring devices such as digital calipers and micrometers is needed to ensure parts meet customer print requirements.
• Inspect product per the inspection plans. Deburr parts, if needed.
• Ability to work with tight tolerances without making mistakes.
• Maintain a high degree of quality in your work area or station.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and organization for your benefit and that of your fellow employees.
• Record production through Job Boss system.
• Ability to escalate issues or concerns that require review of equipment for repair or adjustment.
• Must be able to work with little direction from area lead and be able to perform multiple facets of production (i.e. CNC Machine Operation, Quality, Finish Line support, Assembly) while ensuring high quality product.
• Must be able to interpret customer print call outs for dimensions and requirements along with other supporting documents and work instructions.
• Continually look for ways to improve quality and process.
• Support the EMS Quality Policy and Quality Objectives
• Perform Other Duties as assigned.
