Material Handler
Pay Rate: $16 - $18 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Mon-Fri and some Saturdays (scheduled); 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Engineered Metals & Composites, a division of Patrick Industries, Inc. is a manufacturer in the marine industry and is located in West Columbia, SC.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Picking fixtures, consoles, and tooling for each specific model
- Delivering parts/material to appropriate personnel with the correct paperwork in order
- Delivering consumables and tools to associates
- Reading and delegating work based on job schedule
- Keeping work area organized and easily accessed
- Other job-related duties that may be necessary to carry out the responsibilities of this position
- Working and getting material from outside; forklift may be required
Performance Expectations
- Safety, quality, accuracy, timeliness, reliability and thoroughness of work performed.
- Trust, respect, and a good working relationship with the shift supervisor, co-workers and other employees.
- Develop and/or expand working knowledge of the production environment with through responding to change.
- Work to continuously improve the operations of the department for the betterment of the company.
- It is understood that if incidents happen and/or forklift rules are broken, retraining will occur as soon as possible. i.e. hitting structures and/or materials, not wearing the seat belt, not performing the daily checklist.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Physical stamina to lift 50 lbs. repetitively and 150 lbs. with team-lift techniques
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to compute simple mathematics and read diagrams
- Forklift experience
