Overview
Engineered Plastic Components (EPC) is a world-class manufacturer of plastic products, and as a growing company is actively looking for a tooling journeyman to design and create tools/parts for products using computer-aided design (CAD). The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various technical skills, including precision measuring instruments, hydraulics, and HVAC/R systems. This role requires a commitment to quality workmanship and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members to ensure the highest standards of production.
Duties
- Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy in fabrication and assembly processes.
- Operate and maintain hydraulic systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Fabricate components as per specifications, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
- Use an ohmmeter for electrical testing and troubleshooting as needed.
- Conduct regular maintenance on equipment, including scissor lifts, to ensure operational efficiency.
- Work with HVAC/R systems, performing installation, maintenance, and repair tasks as required.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a manufacturing facility or similar environment.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and hydraulic systems.
- Familiarity with HVAC/R systems is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents in English.
- Experience with stick welding techniques is an asset.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
- Must be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
