Position Overview

As a 2nd Shift Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining chop saws and federal presses to produce high-quality components and products. You will ensure that all machines are running efficiently, safely, and according to established specifications. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable working on the 2nd shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate chop saws and federal presses to cut, shape, and form materials according to production requirements and specifications.
• Set up, calibrate, and adjust machines to ensure proper operation.
• Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Inspect finished products for defects, ensuring compliance with quality control standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring a safe working environment.
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and equipment.
• Record production data, including machine performance and any issues that arise during the shift.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine-related issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory requirements.
  
  

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a machine operator, specifically with chop saws and/or federal presses, is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
• Basic math skills for measuring and calculating material requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for long periods.
• Availability to work 2nd shift, typically starting at 3:30 pm working 8-10hr shifts
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with chop saws and federal presses.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and safety protocols in a production environment.
• Experience with machine setup and calibration.
