POSITION SUMMARY
"We are seeking skilled Production Painters to join our team in Greenville, SC. As a Production Painter I, you will utilize spray painting equipment to apply industrial coatings and finishes to metal and other products. Your responsibilities will include mixing paint and other materials, monitoring the drying process, ensuring quality control, and delivering consistent results. Candidates should be open to learning the "EP way" of painting techniques. Additional duties include baking, curing, and polishing materials to achieve a high-quality finish. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate spray painting equipment to efficiently apply industrial-grade coatings and finishes to metal products and other materials.
- Accurately mix paints, coatings, and other solutions, ensuring consistency and adherence to specified color and texture requirements.
- Monitor and control the drying, curing, and hardening processes to guarantee optimal results and product quality.
- Execute finishing techniques, including baking, polishing, and other specialized methods, to achieve a flawless final product.
- Strictly adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures, ensuring a safe work environment at all times.
- Perform manual painting tasks when necessary, ensuring precision and consistency in all areas of production.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Proficient in operating industrial spray-painting equipment with hands-on experience (MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE).
- Expertise in paint mixing techniques, including knowledge of various solutions, additives, and their proper application.
- Strong ability to monitor, adjust, and optimize drying processes to ensure consistent, high-quality finishes.
- Advanced skills in finishing techniques such as baking, curing, and polishing to meet production standards.
- Strict commitment to following safety procedures, industry regulations, and best practices to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring all painted surfaces meet quality and aesthetic standards.
EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Formal training or certification in industrial painting techniques, or completion of an apprenticeship program preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Frequently works with moving mechanical parts and in outdoor conditions, including exposure to inclement weather, heat, and humidity.
- Noise levels may be high due to equipment operation.
- Shift schedule: Fri-Sun 5am-5:30pm
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and move heavy objects safely.
- Requires strong physical stamina, including constant movement and the ability to support and stabilize heavy materials using abdominal and lower back muscles.
- Must possess good manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently throughout the shift.
