POSITION SUMMARY
Position: Maintenance Technician Senior
Reports to: Maintenance Manager
Location: Greenville, SC
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Maintenance Technician Senior, your primary responsibility will be maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting industrial equipment and machinery within the facility. The ideal candidate will ensure safe and efficient operations in our continuous production facilities. This role requires strong multi-craft skills, with a particular emphasis on pneumatic and electrical systems, along with mechanical, hydraulic, and PLC troubleshooting capabilities.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to diagnose issues efficiently.
- Work with high and low-voltage electrical systems, including motors, relays, PLCs, and control panels.
- Maintain and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including valves, pumps, and actuators.
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance equipment reliability and production efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve recurring maintenance issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Train and mentor junior maintenance technicians, sharing best practices and technical knowledge.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Regularly works around moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat, and humidity. Noise level may be loud at times.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina. Must be able to lift 50 or more pounds at a time.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING
- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, with a strong emphasis on multi-craft skills.
- Extensive experience with pneumatic systems, including troubleshooting and repair of air compressors, valves, and actuators.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including troubleshooting motor controls, VFDs, PLCs, and industrial wiring.
- Proficiency in mechanical maintenance, including gearboxes, conveyors, bearings, and pumps.
- Ability to diagnose issues using electrical testing equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
- Experience with welding and fabrication is a plus.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for tracking maintenance tasks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to equipment maintenance.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
Salary : $29 - $34
