What are the responsibilities and job description for the Training Support Specialist position at ENGINEERED PROTECTION SYSTEMS, INC?
EPS is looking for a Training Support Specialist to joining our Training department. This person is responsible for delivering platform instruction and assisting with content curation.
Duties included but not limited to:
- Work with Corporate Operations Manager, Instructional Designer and department managers to develop, implement and deliver training programs for varying levels of technicians.
- Utilize manufacturer sites and bring in manufacture representatives and vendors when applicable.
- Provide new technician training as indicated in the Onboarding curriculum.
- Mentor new technicians during their first 30 days.
- Provide instruction and assessment.
- Complete weekly performance surveys and forward to the department manager/supervisor.
- Provide structured Enhancement training in the areas of fire, intrusion, access control, and video for all technicians as needed. Track progress of Technicians and assure company testing policy is followed. Document progress in Learning Management Software.
- Assist Instructional Designer in developing and maintaining education support materials for Operations. This involves continual development and use of Share Point and Convergence.
- Work with office support staff management teams and Sales to provide basic device training for those employees.
- Assist in testing/evaluation of new products prior to company use.
