Salary: $45,000 - $65,000 per year (based on experience) with performance-based increases up to $90,000

We're hiring a Topographical Survey Technician to perform crucial 3D spatial data collection and mapping, helping us engineer solutions that keep homes from collapsing.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain GeoSLAM ZEB Horizon and/or DJI Zenmuse L1 drone to collect high-precision spatial data.
- Perform 3D scans of project environments, including steep terrain and disaster-affected sites.
- Process collected data to create accurate, clean topographical maps with features like bare earth contours, elevations, house outlines, and driveways.
- Work closely with engineers and field teams to ensure the highest accuracy in site planning.
- Travel between project sites in Murphy, NC, and Asheville, NC to provide on-the-ground support for real-time disaster response and recovery efforts.
Qualifications:
- Experience in LiDAR and drone-based data collection for topographical analysis.
- Proficiency in processing and analyzing spatial data using relevant software (GeoSLAM Hub, ArcGIS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, or similar).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in challenging environments.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between Murphy and Asheville, NC.
