Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the design team between customers, contractors, and design firms to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Oversee and coordinate multiple design projects, driving adherence to project specifications, timelines, and budgets.
- Act as a key Design representative to strengthen relationships and ensure new opportunities.
- Serve as the primary liaison between customers, the design team, and ESI, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Maintain a big-picture mindset, integrating schedule, budget, and design to drive project success.
- Ensure designs align with jurisdictional processes and regulatory requirements.
- Proactively assess risks, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
- Drive communication to keep stakeholders and team members aware and ahead of deadlines, issues and solutions.
- Champion a First Choice Service-focused approach, ensuring that ESI maintains a strong reputation with customers and other stakeholders.
- Facilitate design meetings, prepare reports, and deliver presentations to key stakeholders.
- Reference CAD and BIM software to navigate and manage the design process effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture or engineering is preferred.
- 10 years of industry-related experience (Architecture, Construction, Engineering).
- Experience in a design leadership role, with a deep understanding of navigating jurisdictional permitting requirements.
- Experience with CAD/BIM software – with the intent of navigating and managing the design process.
- Strong business development acumen with a proven ability to secure new work by enhancing client relationships.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Solution-oriented mindset with a willingness to be hands-on when necessary.
- Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering high-quality design solutions.
