Training Simulator Technician/ Electronic Technician II Journeyman, Constructive Intelligence Systems (CIS)
Program: WTRS, Warfighter Training Readiness Solutions
Provide ongoing Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and training-related services in support of U.S. Army training and the U.S. Army SC mission. Services include program management, O&M of TADSS and Government Furnished Property (GFP), TADSS-related services, training services (e.g., individual, crew, unit, and collective training support programs), and logistics services. This performance will provide an enterprise O&M solution to ensure Warfighter training is supported globally without disruption and to enable Army and Warfighter combat readiness.
PEO STRI’s mission is to provide efficient, effective, and quality knowledge-based training services and training device support solutions to the U.S. Army and partner nations worldwide. The Warfighter-Training Readiness Solutions (W-TRS) TO will support this mission by providing an enterprise solution for TADSS maintenance and training-related services.
Summary: Brief description of the role in in layman’s terms
Position will maintain and sustain the portfolio of devices, provide technical assistance, and to assist PEO STRI's Project Managers, Product Managers, and Assistant Program Managers (APMs) to perform their responsibilities for life cycle management In Accordance With (IAW) Army Regulation (AR) 350-38, Policies and Management for Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS).
Job Duties: Electronic Technician II Journeyman
- Performs scheduled, preventive, and corrective maintenance on TADSS, STE Devices, and GFP, following technical manuals, preventive maintenance checklists, or industry best practices when no checklist is available
- Informs the government of the maintenance timelines for both staffed and unstaffed sites, including notifying when personnel need to travel for maintenance purposes or to support increased demand
- Ensures maintenance tasks do not conflict with training, exercises, and testing
- Records all maintenance activities in real-time in InSITE
- Adheres to warranty terms for maintained items, tracking them by part number, serial number, and location
- Sets up and tests TADSS and STE Devices to confirm they work as expected, including interoperability and operation verification

- Monitors hardware baselines, reverting to previous versions if updates fail
- Analyzes maintenance trends, tracks component consumption, manages obsolescence, implements risk management strategies, and conducts failure analysis to minimize risks and improve system reliability
- Installs modifications or upgrade kits as per manufacturer's instructions. May serve as a preventive rover for unstaffed sites
- May be responsible for installing and maintaining software and hardware installs, and managing patches and security compliance for installed applications and operating systems

Basic Qualifications:
- Degree(s)/Years of Experience:
- (2 BA/BS or 1 MA/MS)
- or (4 AA)
- or (6 No Degree) 8 years of experience with DoD operations
- Secret Security Clearance
- Experience performing scheduled, preventive, and corrective maintenance on TADSS and GFP, following technical manuals, preventive maintenance checklists, or industry best practices when no checklist is available under minimal supervision.
- Knowledgeable on Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC), Games for Training (GFT), Live Virtual Constructive Integrating Architecture (LVCIA), Intelligence Electronic Warfare Tactical Proficiency Trainer (IEWTPT), Distributed Common Ground System-Army (DCGS-A), Secure, Mobile, Anti-jam, Reliable, Tactical-Terminal (SMART-T), Task Management Tool (TMT), Tank Gunnery Trainer TGT), and Common Battle Command Simulation Equipment (CBCSE)
- Experience informing the government of the maintenance timelines for both staffed and unstaffed sites, including notifying when personnel need to travel for maintenance purposes or to support increased demand.
- Experience ensuring maintenance tasks do not conflict with training, exercises, and testing and records all maintenance activities in real-time in InSITE.

- Must be a US citizen with a Secret or higher security clearance
