Engineering Design Services LLC is an engineering consulting firm headquartered in Corpus Christi, Texas. with remote offices in Little Rock, Arkansas and Orlando, Florida. We are looking for a Project Engineer (Electrical) to join our Orlando, Florida office to continue to drive growth and innovation. EDS-Florida focuses on delivering multifaceted engineering solutions (mechanical, electrical, civil) to our growing client base. Our Orlando office primarily services the themed entertainment and aerospace industries.


As a Project Engineer you are responsible for developing, designing, and executing engineering solutions for our diverse client base. You will also assist in expanding the client network and be responsible for managing specific client relationships. This role will involve producing high-quality engineering documents/reports while ensuring compliance with client requirements, code specifications, and site specifications.


To be successful in this role you will need to have the ability to work multiple cross discipline projects, demonstrate excellent fundamental engineering practices, apply sound project management tactics, communication, and supervision skills. You will also need to have high level decision-making skills as well as a good understanding of engineering practices.

Experience:

·      3 years of electrical engineering experience

·      Bachelor's degree in an engineering, computer science, or other engineering discipline

·      Design related to commercial, industrial, multifamily, and retail buildings

·      Knowledge and experience with industrial electrical equipment and processes

·      Understanding of National Electric Code (NEC) to create electrical construction documents

·      Experience with conducting demand load calculations to determine incoming electrical service size and designing distribution panels

·      Understanding of electrical circuiting design and providing power to all necessary equipment

·      Experience in one of the following fields: robotics, automotive, aircraft, marine, autonomous vehicles, themed entertainment, or power plant type industrial systems

·      Excellent Communication Skills


Typical Responsibilities:


●       Engineering and analysis of electrical systems

●       Component level analysis

●       Develop complex 2D/3D models

●       Visit sites to perform engineering assessments

●       Coordination of designs with other project trades

Pay: From $70,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year commensurate with experience and certifications
