Job Summary
This role requires minimal supervision and involves performing diagnostic and service work on commercial HVAC equipment and accessories.
You will communicate with commercial customers to answer questions, resolve problems, and ensure complete customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, diagnose, and resolve customer problems in a courteous, professional, timely, and accurate manner
- Diagnose and perform services on heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment as well as accessories
- Inspect equipment and perform diagnostics to identify potential problems
- Complete routine maintenance and equipment cleaning as needed or required
- Deliver and remove parts and equipment needed to complete service work
- Record all required information using a hand-held device and complete forms and paperwork accurately
- Communicate with dispatch to ensure an accurate status report of activities and availability
- Provide excellent customer service and sustain high levels of customer satisfaction
- Promote products and services to customers and generate sales leads
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED with additional training and 2 to 5 years' experience in HVAC
- Valid licensing or certification as required by federal, state, provincial, or local laws or regulations
- EPA and safety certifications
- Skilled at servicing heating, air conditioning, and ventilation equipment
- Proficient mechanical aptitude and ability to operate necessary tools and equipment
- Effective communication skills and time-management abilities
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as needed
- Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and maneuver in various environmental conditions
