Position Overview:
We are seeking a creative and driven Social Media Intern to join our team and manage the online presence of Engineering Immortality. You will play a vital role in amplifying the reach of our podcast by handling content distribution, engaging with the online audience, and supporting brand growth through sponsorships and marketing efforts. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a movement focused on redefining human longevity while building your skills in social media and content marketing.
Core Responsibilities:
• Post-production content distribution:
• Publish long-form video to YouTube and long-form audio to platforms like Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
• Manage the distribution of short-form video content to YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and other relevant platforms.
• Share content with the team, including messaging Ben with select short videos to post on his personal LinkedIn accounts.
• Manage posts on Engineering Immortality’s LinkedIn page, Twitter/X, and Instagram, ensuring consistent content flow.
• Content Writing & Marketing:
• Create compelling captions and post descriptions for social media that align with the podcast’s themes and mission.
• Draft promotional content for upcoming episodes, including teasers and guest spotlights.
• Coordinate content writing for marketing materials, focusing on driving engagement and visibility.
• Social Media Management:
• Actively manage social media channels, ensuring that posts are timely, engaging, and aligned with the podcast’s brand.
• Monitor social media engagement and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a professional manner.
• Work with third-party partners (e.g., podcast studio, guests, sponsors) to co-promote content across various platforms.
• Audience Engagement:
• Engage with the online audience to grow a community of listeners interested in longevity, biotechnology, and podcast content.
• Assist in setting up collaborations and cross-promotions with other podcasts, influencers, or media outlets.
• Sponsorships & Brand Deals:
• After successful publication of podcasts, reach out to potential sponsors to secure sponsorships and brand deals for the show.
• Manage relationships with existing sponsors, ensuring seamless collaboration and promotional integration.
Requirements:
• Experience in Social Media Management: Familiarity with managing and growing social media accounts on platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, and YouTube.
• Content Creation Skills: Ability to create engaging and original content for social media, including short-form video, graphics, and copywriting.
• Marketing & Writing: Strong writing skills to craft marketing copy that resonates with a target audience interested in biotechnology and longevity.
• Organisational Skills: Ability to handle multiple social media platforms, manage deadlines, and ensure a steady flow of content.
• Creativity & Vision: A passion for storytelling through social media, with a knack for enhancing the brand’s digital presence.
• Collaborative Mindset: Ability to work closely with other team members, including podcast producers, editors, and external partners.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with Podcast Promotion: Familiarity with promoting podcasts on audio platforms like Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
• Sponsorship Outreach: Previous experience reaching out to and managing sponsorships or brand collaborations.
• Video Editing Knowledge: Basic knowledge of video editing or experience working with edited content for social platforms.
