What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing and Communications Intern position at Engineering & Inspection Services?
This is an excellent opportunity to work for a recognized Top Workplace, New Orleans based company grounded in Engineering and Technology. Our dynamic team seeks a motivated student to help contribute to our success while building their marketing and communication skills. The internship will focus on allowing opportunities to play a part of 360-degree content development as it relates to social media, video production, print pieces, websites, trade shows and email campaigns.
Potential Internship Tasks/Projects - Depending on the candidates’ capabilities and interests, we are happy to shift projects to best serve their academic agenda.
- Promotional item research and design.
- E-mail campaign design, manage subscription lists, and follow through analytics.
- Brainstorm with the team to develop marketing campaign ideas and strategies.
- Research markets, competitors, and content ideas.
- Depending on skillset and interests, assist in the production of videos, photography, audio, web design, social media, and print materials.
- Assist in copywriting for video scripts, social media, print, and digital materials.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of E-mail.
- Above average writing skills.
- Knowledge of research best practices.
- Willingness to learn
- Preferred Experience/Interests in one or more of the following:
o Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and or InDesign
o Video production and photography
o Web Design
o Social Media/Campaign
We are looking for an artistically minded individual with excellent communication and computer/technology skills who can be coached and work independently. At the end of the internship, there may be an opportunity to renew the internship for the next semester or be considered for a permanent position with EIS. However, this internship does not guarantee permanent employment.
