Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize CAD software (e.g., CADWorx) to develop detailed mechanical designs, including equipment layouts, piping systems, and related components.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, project managers, and operations personnel, to ensure designs meet project requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct design reviews, identify potential issues or improvements, and propose solutions to optimize equipment performance and reliability.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
- Provide technical support during construction, installation, and commissioning activities, resolving design-related challenges as they arise.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must be in good standing with DISA and possess a valid TWIC card
- Must have authorization to work for any U.S. employer
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office for efficient inter-office communication and documentation
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design within the petroleum refining or petrochemical industry.
- Strong experience in CADWorx required
- Preferred experience with laser scanning
Physical Requirements:
- Fieldwork may involve moderate physical exertion, including climbing scaffolding, bending, kneeling, taking field measurements, and walking projects
- Office work may require prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer
- Must be capable of wearing and properly utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE), such as hardhats, safety glasses, respirators, earplugs, and steel-toed shoes, as required
- Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds may be necessary
