Maintenance Engineer

SUMMARY

Supports general maintenance through technical assistance and training. Supports manufacturing through the development of preventative maintenance programs.

• Supports maintenance team member activities.
• Responsible for long-term maintenance planning.
• Specify, design, and order specialized and standard spare parts.
• Coordinates emergency and non-emergency maintenance tasks with manufacturing.
• Responsible for design, operation, and functionality of work order system and utilizing data to make operational improvements.
• Reviews budget and spending history.
• Reviews manpower requirements for department.
• Works with subcontractors to assure maintenance objectives are observed.
• Maintains the planned, predictive, preventative maintenance system.
• Tracks departmental improvement targets.
• Planning for growth in department through manpower, equipment, building, tools, etc.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in engineering from four-year college or university, or four (4) to six (6) years related experience and high school diploma or G.E.D., or equivalent combination of education and experience.

REQUIRED FOR ELECTRICAL SPECIALIST:

• Working knowledge of DCS (Distributed Control Systems) to include PLC program refinement, maintenance, trouble shooting
• Working knowledge of electrical power systems and circuitry
• Working knowledge of CNC control systems

REQUIRED FOR MECHANICAL SPECIALIST

• Working knowledge of general design and maintenance of mechanical components and systems
• Working knowledge of general design and maintenance of hydraulics and pneumatic systems.
• For both Mechanical and Electrical positions HPDC machine and CNC machine maintenance experience preferred.
