Position Summary:
ESP seeks full-time F/A-18 E/F Qualified Contract Instructor Pilot (CIP) to provide instruction in associated simulators.
Job Duties And Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To
- Brief/Debrief students under instruction in the classroom and in a motion/non-motion flight simulator environment.
- Lecture in an instructor-led classroom environment.
- Evaluate students under instruction in a flight simulator.
- Operate a full-motion/non-motion flight simulator.
- Prepare executive summaries at the conclusion of a course.
- Manage an assigned course for updates/modifications/recommendations to the Curriculum Development Department.
- Obtain NATOPS qualification as a CSI (contract simulator instructor) and maintain that status annually.
- Administer check rides to students for NATOPS/Instrument qualifications.
- Report to the Site Manager.
- This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Current TOP SECRET Security Clearance is required.
- A CIP must be or have been an F/A-18 E/F NATOPS qualified Pilot within the preceding two (2) years and a former Weapons School graduate (NAWDC, MAWTS-1, EAWS/HAVOC) with operational experience within the past five (5) years as a Weapons and Tactics Instructor (Strike Fighter Tactics Instructor (SFTI) or Air Interdiction Mission Commander (AIMC).
- A CIP shall have a minimum of one (1) Fleet tour and eight hundred (800) flying hours in the F/A-18 E/F platform.
- Four-year College degree required.
- Knowledgeable of Department of Defense (DOD) rules and regulations governing aircraft operation.
- Successfully complete NATOPS Open-Book, Closed-Book, and boldface exams annually;
- Demonstrate an understanding of the F/A-18 E/F mission, crew procedures, tactics and threat systems/tactics; aircraft weapons employment, in addition to other areas.
- Renew NATOPS certification with an F/A-18 D/F Pilot qualified to give NATOPS evaluations.
