The DAS Field Engineer II plays a key role in the implementation, commissioning, and acceptance of Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) and other managed network projects. This hands-on role involves close collaboration with lead technicians, customer engineers, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) to ensure all deployments meet or exceed technical and code requirements.
Primary duties include system performance testing, troubleshooting, DAS commissioning, and customer system integration. This is a labor-intensive, safety-sensitive position that requires frequent physical activity, including climbing, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Job Responsibilities
- Perform DAS commissioning, customer integration, and system validation per project specifications.
- Review and interpret DAS design packages using iBwave; provide feedback or updates as needed.
- Evaluate system performance and conduct advanced testing using RF tools such as scanners, spectrum analyzers, OTDRs, power meters, sweep & PIM testers.
- Troubleshoot and replace faulty components to maintain optimal system performance.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting for system faults, alarms, and performance degradation.
- Analyze test results and optimize DAS networks to meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Conduct quality control checks, including review of project closeout packages for system acceptance.
- Recommend improvements to engineering processes, tools, and workflows to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, internal teams, and other project stakeholders.
- 5 years of hands-on experience with Cellular and/or Public Safety DAS installation, commissioning, integration, and testing.
- Progressive RF engineering experience with a focus on troubleshooting, commissioning, optimization, and system integration.
- Proficient in deploying and commissioning DAS networks from major OEMs; experience with CommScope ERA, Cel-Fi Quatro, and Comba is a plus.
- In-Depth Knowledge of Ericson & Nokia BTS Equipment (Installation along with C&I)
- iBwave knowledge is required.
- Demonstrated expertise presenting RF designs and performance analysis reports
- Skilled in the use of RF test equipment, including test phones, spectrum analyzers, OTDRs, Sweep & PIM testers.
- Should have a good understanding of engineering concepts and must show aptitude and desire to learn and advance in a technical field.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to understand and follow technical procedures and documentation.
- Works well under pressure and enjoys being part of a team-oriented environment.
- Valid driver's license and clean MVR.
- Able to pass background check and drug screening.
- Willing to travel up to 50% (in-state and out-of-state).
