OVERVIEW AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
WJZ-TV in Baltimore is seeking a dynamic, creative, self-motivated, decision-making Senior Executive Producer for our largest news daypart : Morning News! As this day part continues to grow, this is an exciting chance to lead news to where we meet our audiences on linear television and streaming.
We're looking for a leader who can inspire innovation and creativity, while also adhering to excellent news judgment. This person will continue to elevate our newscasts with an emphasis on breaking news, winning weather, and owning our community brand.
The ideal candidate has a passion for morning news and all of its strategy facets, planning, breaking news, people management, and empowering staff to be the best. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO :
- Work with newsroom content leaders to grow newscasts, grow producers, and grow skills
- Integrate new technology applications in this multi-media, multi-platform environment
- Motivate and lead the various personalities and levels of experience
- Complete research and strategize to drive the station's brand initiatives

Hiring Salary Range : $110,000.00 - 125,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
