Job Summary:
As part of the global Execution Trading and Operations team, the Associate will support all aspects of front, middle and back office operations. In addition to supporting the critical daily aspects of trading, monitoring, reconciliation, and reporting, this individual will also play an important role in helping the firm scale by testing and providing feedback on new technology and processes as they become available to ensure that goals are consistently being met. This role is best suited for a top tier, well-rounded individual who is looking to get their foot in the door in finance. The individual must be a team player who can learn and adapt quickly, can work dynamically, is highly organized, is able to multi-task, and has consistent follow through.
Responsibilities:
- Live trade support and monitoring of all aspects of the Firm’s activity for the APAC afternoon, the entire EMEA day, and Americas morning. Daily coverage starts around 4:45am GMT/BST.
- Maintaining Firm’s centralized positions, prices and P&L
- Processing corporate action and trade lifecycle events
- Maintaining Firm’s security master and data warehouse
- Resolving breaks and generating reconciliations
- Coordinating with fund administrator, prime brokers, counterparties, and vendors
- Launching new strategies, products and/or new markets
- Maintaining and improving highly automated processes to maximize operating efficiency
- Facilitating ad hoc requests from Senior Management, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and PM teams
Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
- 0-3 years of finance experience
- University degree or directly transferable and applicable professional experience
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and work seamlessly between tasks
- Conscious of Compliance and Regulatory needs, and able to follow internal controls and policies
