The Senior Accountant position is responsible for serving as a team leader in the finance department for a specific division or divisions and ensuring the department creates accurate and timely financial records for the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Analyze accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to standards defined within the department.
- Assist with the preparation of company financial documents; prepare summary reports on variances, and complete final division financial documents for internal stakeholders.
- Develop systems, forms, and manuals for the maintenance of financial records, making use of current technologies.
- Oversee assigned accounts and ensure they are within contract terms; reallocate amounts as needed; assists in the development of Finance Staff, as directed.
- Monitor division activities and resolve and reconcile issues as needed.
- Serve as the first point of contact for Division leadership regarding all financial information, provide guidance and recommendations.
- Ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of transactions, completion and distribution of financial reports and statements, and consolidation of various accounting reports and records.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Work with the Finance Director on appropriate fiscal strategies.
