Barista

Hiring customer-focused baristas to play a vital role in providing exceptional guest service to The Farmhouse at Englewood Hershey.

Responsibilities:

• Making quality hot, cold and blended beverages
• Setting up and/or breaking down equipment for service at open or close of Cafe (following pre-opening/closing checklist)
• Preparing and/or assembling food orders
• Handling cash/credit transactions and other POS functions and transactions
• Cleaning and sanitizing counters and front of the house equipment
• Stocking supplies and condiments and maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the coffee bar
• Taking food and beverage orders at the counter
• Calling guests to retrieve in-store and pick-up orders when ready
• Warmly greeting customers and exchanging pleasantries throughout the guest’s experience, through to departure
• Providing timely service to customers, demonstrating a sense of urgency
• Explaining the different ingredients in beverages and food items to customers
• General cleaning and maintaining cleanliness of all sitting areas / restrooms
• Performing other Front of House duties as assigned
• Assemble a wide range of menu items.
• Ensure every order is made quickly, correctly, and consistently.
• Meet speed and accuracy goals.
• Step in and support your manager and team.

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing
• Work independently, with little or no supervision
• Excellent customer service and people skills
• Effective listening skills
• Ability to work quickly / efficiently and maintain consistency when making all beverages etc.
• Experience working in a restaurant recommended
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to handle multiple orders simultaneously
• Ability to take and process different forms of payment utilizing Toast POS system
• Must have a clean and presentable appearance, adhering to Englewood Grooming Guidelines
• Ability to work in a high volume and high stress environment
• Ability to learn how to operate and use all beverage machines and other mechanical equipment
• Ability to work various shifts (1st & 2nd)
• Ability to open and/or close the Cafe independently

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
