Job Summary
Under general supervision, and according to well defined policies and procedures, the MA is responsible for clinical and administrative duties. This position assists with the flow of patients from the waiting area to infusion bays by performing preparatory work to ensure efficient use of the clinical staff's time. The resposibilites of the role include, supporting the nursing staff, ensuring patient comfort, monitoring vital signs, maintaining unit supplies and clerical duties as assigned. Experience with medical terminology and practice management systems preferred.

Education Requirements:
- High School Graduate or Equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited program for Medical Assistant.
- License/Certification/Registry:
- Current CPR Certification required
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)/Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)/Patient Care Technician (PCT). preferred
