Job Overview

English Stone is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and customer-focused Project Manager to lead hardscape and landscape projects from post-sale through final completion. The Project Manager (PM) acts as the central liaison between clients, internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors—ensuring every job is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities1. Project Oversight & Coordination

  • Manage projects from scheduling through closeout.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, subcontractors, field staff, and administration.
  • Oversee jobsite execution and coordinate materials, permits, equipment, labor, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor job progress and troubleshoot issues to keep projects on track.

2. Communication & Client Relations

  • Initiate contact with the customer upon project assignment to introduce yourself, confirm start dates, and provide direct contact info.
  • Maintain a friendly, professional, and solution-oriented approach throughout the project.
  • Address client inquiries and concerns promptly and positively.
  • Communicate all scope changes to the sales team for proper documentation and change orders.

3. Scheduling & Logistics

  • Verify material orders and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Confirm utility locates and permit approvals prior to work commencement.
  • Coordinate delivery and placement of dumpsters, portable toilets, and trucking services.
  • Adjust schedules for weather, resource availability, and unforeseen site conditions, while ensuring the Master Schedule is updated accordingly.

4. Team & Subcontractor Coordination

  • Schedule and manage English Stone employees and subcontractors, ensuring clarity on roles, expectations, and timelines.
  • Ensure everyone is equipped and informed to perform their tasks effectively.
  • Address and resolve any personnel or subcontractor-related issues as they arise.

5. Site Management & Quality Assurance

  • Oversee daily jobsite activity to ensure progress, cleanliness, safety, and adherence to design plans and quality standards.
  • Handle all on-site issues, proactively finding solutions and minimizing downtime.
  • Maintain accurate documentation throughout the project and notify Admin upon project completion.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of project management experience in landscaping and hardscaping
  • Strong understanding of landscape/hardscape installation methods and equipment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to read plans, manage schedules, and coordinate multiple teams
  • Proficiency in current technology; email, and digital scheduling tools
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Work Environment

  • Outdoor worksite environments, including varied weather and terrain conditions
  • Office or administrative settings for planning and coordination
  • Direct interaction with clients, vendors, crews, and city officials

Role Parameters

  • Full time position with English Stone- W2 role
  • Yearly salary between $75,000-$90,000 starting- based on previous experience
  • Live locally- within English Stones service zones
  • Additional 401(k) contribution available- request further information
