Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance operations within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. This person will work alone for a majority of the year, and with a summer temporary employee. This role is crucial for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our equipment and facilities, while also fostering a safe working environment.
Responsibilities coordinate the activities of the maintenance team to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Coordinate daily, weekly, monthly general maintenance tasks on 250-acre campus, with 10 buildings.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
- Perform high voltage and low voltage electrical work, including troubleshooting and repairs.
- Inspect and maintain a heating boiler.
- Inspect and maintain plumbing fixtures and systems.
- Utilize voltmeters and other diagnostic tools to assess electrical systems.
- Ensure proper seasonal maintenance and chemical balance in an outdoor swimming pool.
- Collaborate with facilities management to implement preventive maintenance programs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience within a maintenance environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
- Proficiency in high voltage and low voltage electrical work.
- Familiarity with logic controllers and their applications in maintenance tasks.
- Excellent verbal communication skills when meeting various vendors and customers.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in all operations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $22.50 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
