What are the responsibilities and job description for the EngLinks Upper-Year Workshop Tutor 2024/2025 - PAID! position at EngSoc?
Looking for workshop tutors to run any of the following Final Exam Workshops:
- CHEE 210
- CHEE 221
- CIVL 231
- ELEC 270
- MECH 210
As a workshop tutor, you will help prepare upper-years for their upcoming midterm and final exams. You will run course-specific workshops for large groups of students, guided by provided EngLinks resources. No experience is necessary, but we believe applicants should:
- Have a good understanding of the course’s material.
- Be able to dissect complicated problems into a series of steps.
- Have strong oral communication skills.
- Be attentive to details such as timing, quality of their notes, etc.
- Be respectful, patient, and engaging.
Workshops are run according to the upper-year midterm schedule. Tutors can expect each workshop to take 3 hours with 1 hour of prep time. Workshop tutors are paid $20/hour.
This position is open to engineering students going into 3rd year or higher only.
