Our client, a leading provider of specialized construction services, is seeking an Accounting Manager with project accounting and construction experience to oversee billing, collections, and financial reporting. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the CFO, CEO, and VP of FP&A, ensuring financial accuracy and efficiency across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts receivable operations, ensuring timely and accurate billing, collections, and cash flow optimization.
- Oversee job costing, project accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting to support business objectives.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships to resolve disputes and reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
- Prepare financial summaries, aging reports, and cash flow forecasts for senior leadership.
- Collaborate with Project Management to track billing progress and ensure invoicing aligns with contract thresholds.
- Implement automation tools and process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Support audit compliance and financial best practices across multiple locations.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5 years of accounting experience, specifically in construction or other project-based industries.
- Strong knowledge of AR functions, job costing, project accounting, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Great Plains, etc.).
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of driving process improvements.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
