Electrical Engineer
Our client is a trusted mechanical and electrical contracting firm delivering high-performance building systems across commercial, industrial, and institutional markets. We specialize in design-build and design-assist projects, bringing seamless integration between engineering and construction.
Role Overview
We’re looking for a Electrical Engineer to lead electrical system design and coordination on large-scale MEP construction projects. You’ll work closely with project managers, estimators, and field supervisors to deliver practical, efficient, and code-compliant solutions from preconstruction through final commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Design power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems
- Prepare construction documents, riser diagrams, and equipment layouts
- Support preconstruction efforts, including estimating and value engineering
- Coordinate with BIM/VDC teams and other trades for clash-free designs
- Interface with clients, general contractors, and field teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Provide technical support during installation, inspections, and close-out
- Mentor junior electrical engineers and support internal collaboration
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering
- PE license preferred
- 5 years of electrical design experience in a construction or design-build setting
- Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA codes, and building electrical systems
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and electrical load calculation software
