We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance operations and drive excellence in equipment reliability, team performance, and safety.
Position Overview: As the Maintenance Manager, you will oversee the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of maintenance activities at our major St. Louis Manufacturing site. You will lead a skilled team of mechanics, and contractors to ensure equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and compliance with safety standards. Reporting directly to the Maintenance and Engineering Manager, you’ll play a critical role in driving performance, fostering collaboration, and supporting the success of our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety & Compliance:
- Champion a culture of safety, ensuring all maintenance activities align with the company’s commitment to an incident-free workplace.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and environmental standards.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of skilled maintenance professionals.
- Set clear performance expectations, provide coaching, and foster a culture of accountability and recognition.
Operational Excellence:
- Develop and execute maintenance strategies that improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Reliability teams to prioritize maintenance activities and align goals.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and cost efficiency.
Maintenance Planning & Execution:
- Oversee the development and management of maintenance plans, including preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
- Ensure effective execution of work orders, shutdowns, and turnaround maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with the Procurement and Stores team to optimize spare parts availability and inventory management.
Technical Support:
- Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
- Ensure maintenance staff are equipped with the necessary tools, training, and resources to perform effectively.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Leverage SAP or other CMMS systems to track and analyze maintenance data, optimize workflows, and drive improvements.
- Manage maintenance budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Highschool Diploma / GED required
- 5 years of experience in a maintenance management role, preferably in the chemical manufacturing industry.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with a proven ability to develop high-performing teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to read and interpret equipment drawings.
