We're looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer who enjoys working in a team to work on custom assembly projects building processes from concept to installation.
What you'll do:
- Creating & maintaining technical documentation.
- Working on prototyping, trouble shooting & design improvements.
- Work closely with customers to interpret requirements into design.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, and develop mechanical systems, components, and products.
- Design using Solidworks to create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings for manufacturing.
- Layout full systems in 2D AutoCAD
- Optimize designs for performance, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness while considering regulatory and safety requirements.
What you'll need:
- A background in machinery or tooling.
- Experience in automation.
- Experience with a 3D & 2D CAD software (Solidworks or Inventor)
- Great communication & background in collaborating with a cross-functional team.
- Working knowledge of FEA.
- Experience with GD&T.
