A hypergrowth startup, valued at over $1 billion, redefining the future of their respective industry is looking for a Procurement Manager – Raw Materials (Metals & Composites). Searching for a highly skilled procurement professional with the expertise, vision, and leadership to scale and refine our procurement strategy for all raw materials, specifically metals and composites, during this pivotal phase of growth.

The Role :

As the Procurement Manager – Raw Materials (Metals & Composites), you’ll lead the sourcing strategy, supplier management, and procurement operations for key raw materials, with a focus on metals and composites. You’ll work cross-functionally to ensure cost-efficiency, quality, and scalability while driving impactful supplier partnerships that align with our ambitious growth goals.

Key Responsibilities :

Develop and execute a robust strategic sourcing strategy and future roadmap for raw materials (metals & composites) to support the company’s growth trajectory.
Build and scale procurement processes , systems, and tools to create a best-in-class procurement function.
Identify, evaluate, and onboard global and regional suppliers , ensuring alignment with cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
Lead complex contract negotiations , ensuring favorable terms while fostering long-term supplier relationships.
Analyze market trends, cost drivers, and supply chain risks to proactively mitigate supply risk & disruptions.
Collaborate with engineering, product development, and operations teams to align procurement efforts with business objectives.
Drive initiatives for cost savings , efficiency improvements, and value creation across the supply chain.
Serve as the subject matter expert on raw materials (metals & composites), providing insights and recommendations to executive leadership.

What You’ll Bring :

6 years of progressive experience in procurement , sourcing, or supply chain management, with a strong focus on raw materials , particularly metals and composites.

Proven expertise in strategy development, supplier management, and scaling procurement functions in high-growth or startup environments .

Exceptional knowledge of raw materials, including various types of metals (e.g., steel, aluminum, titanium) and composites (e.g., carbon fiber, fiberglass).

A track record of driving cost optimization while maintaining high quality and delivery standards.

Strong negotiation skills with experience managing complex contracts and supplier relationships.

Familiarity with global supply chains, including sourcing from low-cost regions and mitigating supply chain risks.

Proficiency in procurement tools and systems, such as ERP (SAP, Oracle, etc.), sourcing platforms, and advanced analytics tools.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
