Regional Safety Manager – Construction

Our client, a leading general contractor, is seeking a Regional Safety Manager to join their team. The position requires a hands-on, boots-on-the-ground approach, ensuring that all safety standards and protocols are met on active job sites.

Responsibilities:
- Support and enforce job site safety programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Conduct regular site safety audits, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective measures.
- Provide safety training and education for field personnel, subcontractors, and site management teams.
- Investigate accidents and near-miss incidents, documenting findings and recommending improvements.
- Collaborate with project managers and superintendents to develop proactive safety strategies.
- Ensure proper use of PPE, fall protection, and hazard communication on all active job sites.
- Stay up to date on local, state, and federal safety regulations and ensure all projects remain in compliance.
- Assist in developing and maintaining site-specific safety plans.
- Conduct new hire safety orientations and ensure all workers understand and adhere to job site safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of construction safety experience, preferably in commercial or industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, risk assessments, and hazard mitigation.
- Experience conducting safety audits, incident investigations, and training programs.
- Ability to lead and educate teams on best safety practices in a high-paced construction environment.
- CHST or other safety certifications are a plus but not required.
- Willingness to travel regionally to multiple project sites as needed.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with a hands-on approach to job site safety.
