Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical system design, manage projects from concept through construction, and mentor junior staff. This role requires expertise in power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead electrical design from schematic programming through construction documents.
- Oversee projects from conceptual design through construction administration.
- Conduct field verification and document existing conditions for renovations.
- Perform due diligence analysis and prepare reports on existing infrastructure.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
- Coordinate with in-house MEP teams, architects, and contractors.
- Attend client meetings to clearly communicate design intent and project scope.
- Manage workload and resource allocation within the electrical department.
- Oversee construction administration tasks, including reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, writing field reports, and managing project closeouts.
- Ensure timely project delivery in a fast-paced environment across diverse sectors.
Qualifications & Skills:
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering; PE license preferred.
- 8 years of electrical design experience in MEP engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SKM, and ETAP.
- Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IBC, and other industry codes.
- Experience across commercial, industrial, residential, healthcare, and technology sectors.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships with architects, owners, and contractors.
- Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
Salary : $130,000 - $160,000
