Our client, a leading provider of industrial construction, maintenance, and fabrication services, is seeking a Senior Project Accountant to support financial operations across multiple projects nationwide. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership to ensure accurate project financial management while upholding the company’s commitment to safety, integrity, and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee project accounting functions, including job costing, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Manage revenue recognition, project billing, and cost tracking to ensure alignment with contracts.
- Prepare financial summaries, variance analyses, and cash flow projections for leadership.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to monitor financial progress and optimize profitability.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies while supporting audit requirements.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5 years of project accounting experience, preferably in industrial construction, maintenance, or fabrication.
- Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP reporting, and financial reconciliations.
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
