Our client, a respected and growing tax, accounting, and consulting firm is seeking a Tax Accountant who wants to break the mold of traditional public accounting. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review complex federal and state income tax returns for individuals, entities, trusts, estates, and gifts
- Analyze tax situations to reduce liabilities and uncover strategic planning opportunities
- Communicate directly with clients, addressing tax-related questions and providing consultative insights
- Perform general accounting for business clients in support of tax preparation, including trial balances and journal entries
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a public accounting firm, focusing on tax preparation and/or review
- Experience with tax software (SurePrep, GoSystem, GFR preferred)
- Strong time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
- CPA license or progress toward CPA preferred
